An award winning chef, Jon Matsubara previously opened the innovative Stage Restaurant as its executive chef, instrumental in the design of the restaurant, wine bar, café and event center. Chef Matsubara started his culinary career under the tutelage of Roy Yamaguchi. He honed his skills under several master chefs within prestigious restaurants including the Alan Wong's Restaurant, Canoe House Restaurant in the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Restaurant Jean Georges, Tabla and Bouley in New York. Chef Matsubara attended the French Culinary Institute in New York.
